Great service done by the team here. Special shout out to Muhammad Shaheer, who gave me solid and legit advice on how to go about with my car and the parts that were to be replaced.
Ford Edge service in Abu Dhabi, from AED 650.
Same rates as our Dubai workshops. Motorway driving is actually kinder to this vehicle's cooling system than city traffic. What it does change is how much a cooling failure costs you, and that is worth planning around. 6 month warranty.

How it works
Serviced and back, same day
Book a slot, tell us the engine and your distance, and collect it the same day.
Tell us engine and distance
V6 or the turbocharged four-cylinder, plus your monthly kilometres. The engine decides the cooling inspection and the distance decides how often you should come.
Drop it at the workshop
Khalifa City, Mussafah, MBZ or wherever suits. Fixed price agreed before you arrive, so the figure does not move unless the inspection finds something and you approve it.
Serviced and inspected
Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, fluids topped up, coolant level recorded, oil condition inspected and on V6 models the weep point checked.
Pricing
Edge service prices in Abu Dhabi
The same rates as our Dubai workshops, with no Abu Dhabi premium. Tier-2 SUV pricing sits above a Japanese crossover and well below the German tier-3 cars.
Minor service
Every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months. On AUH distances, km first
Major service
Every 30,000 to 40,000 km or 2 years. Adds filters, plugs and wipers
Distance items
What kilometres rather than years bring forward
- Mobil fully synthetic oil and a new oil filter on every service, minor or major
- Same rates as Dubai, with no Abu Dhabi surcharge on any job
- Coolant level recorded at every visit, which matters more over longer intervals
Long drive planned? A AED 150 check beforehand is the cheapest insurance there is.

What customers say
They are very professional, took my car and returned it back on time, they checked all the mechanical aspects of the car and advised on some replacements. Mr. Mohammad Saheer was the adviser, he was so helpful.
Had a good experience with MySyara and their staff overall. Really impressed with Yadhu's attention to detail. They arranged multiple pick and drop at no cost, which was a big relief and convenient.

Good news first: distance suits this vehicle
Worth stating plainly, because the Dubai version of this page is fairly blunt about cooling and an Abu Dhabi owner might reasonably expect worse.
Steady motorway driving is kinder to this vehicle’s cooling system than city traffic is. At a constant 120 there is a great deal of air moving through the radiator, and the system runs with far more margin than it does crawling in traffic where it generates heat with almost no airflow to remove it.
The same applies to the engine. Fewer cold starts per kilometre, fewer thermal cycles, no repeated acceleration loading. A high-distance motorway Edge is frequently in better mechanical health than a low-mileage city one.
So the vehicle’s main failure is no more likely out here.
Bad news: the consequence is worse
Here is the part that matters, and it is a genuinely different argument from the one a city driver needs.
On the V6, the water pump sits behind the front timing cover, driven by the timing chain. When its seals fail, coolant can go into the engine oil rather than onto the ground. Contaminated oil destroys bearings and scores cylinder walls, and the damage accumulates with every kilometre driven in that state.
Now consider where you are when it happens.
The single worst thing you can do with this failure is keep driving. In the city that instruction is easy to follow: pull over, call, done. On the Al Ain road or out past Al Shamkha, the distance home might be 100 km, and the instinct to “just get back” is overwhelming.
That drive is what converts a pump job into an engine.
So the risk out here is not the failure. It is the distance you will cover before you accept that you have to stop.
Which changes what you should do, not how worried you should be
Two practical adjustments, neither dramatic.
Watch the coolant level between services. A slow, unexplained loss with no puddle is the first signal, and you will cover far more distance between visits than a city driver does. We record the level as found at every service so it becomes a trend rather than a snapshot, but between visits it is worth a glance of your own.
Have a check done before a genuinely long trip, rather than after it.
That second one is the specific recommendation this page exists to make.
The pre-trip check
A general vehicle check is AED 150. It is not a service and we are not going to pretend it is.
What it covers: coolant level and condition, oil level and condition, the weep point on a V6, belts and hoses, tyre condition including the age of the rubber rather than only tread depth, brake measurements, and battery health.
What it is for: a judgement on whether the vehicle is fit for a long drive. We will tell you plainly if something should be dealt with first, and equally plainly if it is fine to go.
Against the cost of discovering a cooling problem somewhere past Al Shamkha, AED 150 is not a meaningful sum. It is the cheapest item on this page and, before a long trip in summer, the most useful.
Distance, not date
The interval is every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first, and on Abu Dhabi distances the kilometres come first.
At 2,500 km a month you reach 10,000 km in four months. Working to the calendar takes the vehicle past its interval without anything feeling different.
We use the shorter end of the range here anyway, because 45ยฐC ambient heat asks more of the oil than the temperate-climate figures these intervals were written around.
What the distance actually consumes
Not the engine, and not the cooling system. Those are the things city driving punishes.
What sustained speed consumes on a heavy crossover:
Tyres, where sustained speed on hot asphalt is the hardest life a tyre has, and where the date code matters as much as the tread depth. We report both.
Brakes, measured in millimetres and given to you as numbers. A heavy vehicle stopping from 120 does considerably more work than one in traffic.
Alignment at AED 200, which matters more than owners expect. At a constant speed on a straight road, slight misalignment produces almost no symptom through the wheel while it steadily destroys one edge of a tyre. The first sign is usually a tyre needing replacement early.
Driveline fluids. Gearbox fluid with filter from AED 600, transfer case oil from AED 375 on all-wheel-drive models. These degrade with heat and load rather than with distance, but a high-distance vehicle accumulates both faster.
What the service covers
AED 650 minor: Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, all fluids topped up, a multi-point inspection, the coolant level recorded, the oil condition inspected, and the weep point checked on a V6.
AED 1250 major, which replaces rather than cleans: air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs and wiper blades.
A radiator flush is AED 225, and on this vehicle it is among the better value items on the list regardless of which emirate you drive in.
No doorstep here, and no premium either
Our doorstep mechanic runs in Dubai only. In Abu Dhabi the work is workshop-based: Khalifa City, Mussafah, MBZ, Al Raha and out towards Al Shamkha. Most services are same-day.
What you do not pay is any Abu Dhabi surcharge. Every figure on this page matches our Dubai workshops.
Anything the inspection finds comes with a price. If it is a repair rather than maintenance, it is quoted separately and you decide.
