What customers say

4.4
Across 11,600+ reviews on Google and the MySyara app

They are very professional, took my car and returned it back on time, they checked all the mechanical aspects of the car and advised on some replacements. Mr. Mohammad Saheer was the adviser, he was so helpful.

One of the finest services I have seen from a car garage. They are so professional. Amazing work, thank you so much.

Loved every single bit. Right from the pick up to drop off, everything was well coordinated and handled professionally. I would recommend everyone to give their service a go.

FAQ

Edge servicing, answered

Tell us the engine and whether you have been topping up coolant.

A minor service is AED 650 and a major service AED 1250, which are tier-2 SUV rates. A radiator flush is AED 225, gearbox fluid from AED 400 or AED 600 with the filter, a transfer case oil change from AED 375 and spark plugs AED 225.
Because on the V6 Edge, unexplained coolant loss is not a minor annoyance. The water pump on this engine sits behind the front timing cover and is driven by the timing chain, which means that when its seals fail the coolant can go directly into the engine oil rather than onto the ground. Recording the level at each visit turns a slow loss into a visible trend, and a trend is something you can act on before any damage is done.
Ford built an early warning into this engine. There is a weep hole located behind the alternator, and coolant appearing at that specific point indicates the internal pump seal has failed. It is a deliberate design feature intended to give notice before coolant reaches the oil. We look at it as part of a V6 service because it costs nothing to check and the thing it warns about is an engine.
Two things. Coolant that needs topping up without any puddle on your parking space, and the appearance of the oil. If coolant is reaching the oil, the oil turns a milky brown colour rather than staying dark and translucent. If you ever see that, stop driving and call us. Neither of those requires any tools to notice, and both are worth more than any warning light on this engine.
The pump arrangement described above is a V6 characteristic, which is why we ask which engine you have. The turbocharged four-cylinder has its own cooling considerations and we inspect accordingly. Either way, coolant level is recorded and oil condition is inspected, because unexplained coolant loss on any engine is worth investigating rather than topping up repeatedly.
Mobil fully synthetic engine oil, an oil filter replacement, air and cabin filter cleaning, all fluids topped up, a multi-point inspection, the coolant level recorded, oil condition inspected and on V6 models the weep point checked. Usually back the same day with a 6 month service warranty.
Every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first, and we would use the shorter end here. This is a heavy crossover that spends time idling in 45ยฐC traffic, which is when a cooling system has the least airflow to shed heat and when the oil works hardest.
Yes, provided the oil meets the right specification, the parts are genuine or quality-equivalent, the schedule is kept and the work is recorded. On this vehicle we would add one thing worth keeping: the coolant level readings. A history showing the level held steady is meaningful evidence on a V6 Edge, and it is exactly what a careful buyer should want to see.

The one check that matters most on a V6 Edge

Most of this service is what you would expect: oil, filters, fluids, brakes, tyres, a proper inspection. Useful, unremarkable.

On a V6 Edge there is one additional check that is worth more than all of it, and it takes almost no time.

Here is why it exists.

The water pump on this engine does not sit on the outside of the block where you could see it weep. It is tucked behind the front timing cover and driven directly by the timing chain.

That arrangement has a specific consequence. When the pump’s seals fail, the coolant does not run onto the ground where you would notice it. It can go directly into the engine oil.

Coolant in oil turns it into a milky brown sludge, and that sludge does not merely contaminate โ€” it destroys bearings, scores cylinder walls, and can hydrolock the engine. This is one of the few failures on a tier-2 vehicle that ends the vehicle rather than costing a repair.

So on this engine, unexplained coolant loss is not a minor annoyance. It is the symptom that matters most.

Ford built in an early warning. We look at it.

This is the part most owners have never been told.

There is a weep hole located behind the alternator on this engine. It is deliberate. Coolant appearing at that specific point indicates the internal pump seal has failed, and it is designed to give you notice before coolant reaches the oil.

It is, in other words, a built-in warning that only works if somebody looks at it.

We check it as part of a V6 Edge service. It costs nothing, and the thing it warns about is an engine.

Two things you can watch yourself

Neither needs tools, and both are worth more than any dashboard light on this engine.

Coolant that needs topping up with no puddle on your parking space. On most cars that is a slow external leak to chase at some point. On a V6 Edge it is a reason to come in now. Tell us when you book, because it changes what we look at first.

The colour of the oil. Healthy engine oil is dark and translucent. Oil with coolant in it turns milky brown and looks wrong in a way that is unmistakable once you have seen it. If you ever see that, stop driving and call us rather than driving in.

That second one is the point at which this stops being preventive and becomes urgent.

Which is why we record the coolant level

Anyone can tell you to keep an eye on coolant. That is not actionable.

So we record the level as found at every visit and tell you what it was. Over two or three services that produces a trend rather than a snapshot, and a trend is something you can act on while you still have choices.

A level that holds steady across visits is genuine reassurance on this engine. A level that drops slowly each time is a conversation worth having early, long before anything appears in the oil.

That record is also worth keeping for resale, which we come back to below.

The four-cylinder is a different question

The pump arrangement above is a V6 characteristic, which is why we ask which engine you have rather than treating every Edge the same.

The turbocharged four-cylinder has its own cooling considerations and we inspect accordingly.

What applies to both: coolant level recorded, oil condition inspected, and unexplained loss treated as something to investigate rather than top up repeatedly.

Tier 2, and what the service covers

A minor service is AED 650 and a major AED 1250. Tier-2 SUV rates sit above a Japanese crossover and well below the German tier-3 cars.

The minor service: Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, all fluids topped up, a multi-point inspection, the coolant level recorded, the oil condition inspected, and the weep point checked on a V6.

A major service replaces rather than cleans: air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs and wiper blades. AED 1250.

On the interval, the shorter end is usually right. This is a heavy crossover that spends time idling in 45ยฐC traffic, which is precisely when a cooling system has the least airflow available and when the oil is working hardest.

The driveline items that get forgotten

Two things that fall off the schedule once a vehicle leaves the dealer network, both cheap relative to what they protect.

Gearbox fluid, from AED 400 or AED 600 with the filter. If you have noticed any shudder during gear changes, mention it โ€” that belongs on the repair page rather than being written off as character.

Transfer case oil from AED 375 on all-wheel-drive models. Driveline components on this vehicle are one of the recognised areas to keep an eye on, and the fluid degrades with heat and load rather than with distance. Dubai supplies plenty of both.

Coolant condition is checked every visit and a flush is AED 225, which on this vehicle is among the better value items on the list.

One note on resale

Keep the coolant level readings alongside the service stamps.

On a V6 Edge, a documented history showing the level held steady is meaningful evidence about the single most consequential failure the engine has. It is exactly what a careful buyer should ask for, and most sellers will not have it.

Anything the inspection finds comes with a price. If it is a repair rather than maintenance, it is quoted separately and you decide.
