MySyara Auto Care LLC (the “Company”, “MySyara”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.
Please read it carefully, together with our Terms & Conditions. By using the Platform (defined below) you acknowledge the practices described here. Where applicable law requires your consent for a particular activity, we will ask for it separately.
If you have any question or request about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, contact us at .
Territory. This Privacy Policy applies to the United Arab Emirates only. MySyara operations in other countries are conducted by separate legal entities and are governed by separate privacy policies published on the relevant country website.
The Platform. “Platform” means all of the channels through which we operate our marketplace, taken together:
Each of these is an extension of the same Platform. This Privacy Policy applies to all of them equally, whether you book a service in the app, on the website, over WhatsApp or by telephone.
This Policy is intended to be read consistently with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and its implementing instruments, and with any sector-specific rules that apply to us.
MySyara operates a managed marketplace. The work performed on your vehicle is generally supplied by independent service providers, franchisees and licensees (each, a “Service Provider”), as explained in our Terms & Conditions. This has a direct consequence for your data, and it is the most important thing to understand in this Policy:
Account information. Name, email address, mobile number, password, and any profile details you add. If you register as a partner or provider, we also collect your business details.
Vehicle information. Make, model, year, engine and oil specification, mileage, licence plate, chassis or VIN, registration and insurance status, service history, and any fault or symptom you describe to us.
Order and transaction information. The services you book, quotations and estimates, job cards, inspection and diagnostic reports, invoices and receipts, subscriptions and packages, promotional codes, Credits, referrals, ratings and reviews you submit, and your support and complaint history.
Location information. With your permission, we collect location data from your device so you can set a pickup or service address, so we can show nearby providers, and so the allocated provider or driver can reach you. Where a pick-up, drop-off or doorstep visit is carried out, location data may also be recorded from the attending party's device. You can switch off location access at the device level at any time; some features will not work if you do.
Payment information. Card payments are processed by our PCI-DSS certified payment partner. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems; we hold a payment token, the card type, expiry and the last four digits, together with the transaction outcome, so that you can repeat a payment and so that we can handle refunds, chargebacks and fraud checks.
Photos, video and media. You may upload photos of your vehicle. Photographs, video or condition reports of your vehicle may also be taken before, during and after a service — by us or by the Service Provider — to record vehicle condition, evidence the work performed, and resolve disputes. These may show your licence plate and the location of your vehicle. Premises operated by us or by a Service Provider may be under CCTV surveillance.
Communications. Messages you send us through any Platform channel, including the official WhatsApp line, in-app chat, email and web forms, along with their attachments and metadata. Calls with our support or dispatch teams may be recorded for quality, training, dispute resolution and security purposes; where we record a call, we will tell you at the start of it.
WhatsApp specifically. Our official WhatsApp line runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform. When you message us there, WhatsApp and its parent company process your phone number, message content and metadata under their own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. Message content is delivered into our customer support and CRM systems and retained there in line with this Policy. Please do not send us payment card numbers, passwords or identity documents over WhatsApp.
Device and usage information. Device type and model, operating system, app version, unique device and installation identifiers, IP address, crash and diagnostic logs, and how you navigate and use the Platform. We use IP address to diagnose server problems, administer the Platform, infer approximate location, and detect abuse.
Cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies section below.
We rely on the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate business interests, compliance with legal obligations, and — where required — your consent, as the bases for these activities.
We may use analytics, automation and machine-learning tools (including artificial intelligence “AI” tools) to help us improve our services, detect fraud or abuse, route and allocate bookings, estimate pricing and duration, summarise support conversations, personalise your experience, and optimise our operations. Where we do so, we apply technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect your personal data.
Unless we have your explicit and informed consent or are otherwise required or permitted by applicable law, we do not sell your personal data and we do not permit third parties to use your identifiable personal data to train their own standalone AI or machine-learning models for their independent purposes.
We may use de-identified, anonymised or aggregated information — which does not reasonably identify you — for statistical analysis, business intelligence, research, and developing and training our internal models and tools. Such information is not treated as personal data.
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing without human involvement. Where an automated tool informs a decision that materially affects you, such as a fraud block on your account, you may ask us to review it by writing to .
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
Service Providers. We share with the Service Provider allocated to your order the data it needs to perform it: your name, mobile number, service address or pickup location, vehicle details including licence plate, the services booked, relevant service and inspection history, your instructions, and access details for the site. We share what is needed for the job, not your full profile and not your payment card details.
Processors acting for us. Hosting and cloud providers, payment gateways, communication and messaging providers, analytics and crash reporting, CRM and support tools, mapping and location services, and marketing platforms. They may access your data only to perform tasks for us, on our instructions and under contract, and may not use it for their own purposes.
Insurers, warranty providers and fleet or corporate accounts. Where your service is booked, paid for or claimed under an insurance policy, extended warranty, leasing arrangement, or a corporate or fleet account, we share the order, inspection and invoice details necessary for that party to authorise, verify or settle it.
Professional advisers and authorities. Auditors, accountants, insurers and lawyers where reasonably required, and government, regulatory, tax or law enforcement authorities where we are legally required to disclose, or where we reasonably consider disclosure necessary to comply with the law, enforce our terms, protect the rights, property or safety of any person, or investigate suspected unlawful activity.
Corporate transactions. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of our business, your data may be transferred as part of it. We will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform of any resulting change in ownership or in the use of your personal data.
Reviews. We may display reviews or ratings you submit, with your first name, on the Platform and in our marketing. Ask us at and we will take it down.
Some of our processors — for example cloud hosting, messaging and analytics providers — store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where we transfer your personal data abroad, we do so only to a jurisdiction recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, or under contractual safeguards requiring protection equivalent to that provided under UAE law, or where another lawful basis for the transfer applies.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure how the Platform is used, and support marketing. A cookie is a small file placed on your device; it takes up minimal space and cannot damage your files.
You can accept, refuse or delete cookies through your browser or device settings. Some features of the Platform will not function correctly without them.
Some advertising and social media content on our website is delivered by third parties who may set their own cookies and collect information about your browsing across other sites in order to serve you tailored advertising. We do not control those cookies or the information collected through them, and the practices of those third parties are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
We may send you offers, promotions and service recommendations by email, SMS, push notification or WhatsApp. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link, your notification settings, replying STOP to a message, or by writing to .
Service-related messages are different. Booking confirmations, technician arrival notices, quotations awaiting your approval, invoices, safety notices and account or security alerts are necessary to provide the service and are not promotional, so you cannot opt out of them while your account is active.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this Policy. After that, we retain what we are required to keep — in particular invoices, tax records and accounting data, which UAE tax and commercial law generally requires us to retain for at least five years — and what we reasonably need to resolve disputes, pursue or defend legal claims, honour warranty periods, and enforce our agreements. Data we no longer need is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Subject to applicable law and to any exemptions that apply, you may:
You can update most of your details yourself in your account. For anything else, write to and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. Where the data you want corrected or deleted sits with a Service Provider as independent controller, we will pass your request on to it, but you may also need to approach it directly.
We store personal data in access-controlled systems and use standard, commercially reasonable security measures including encryption in transit, firewalls and role-based access controls. No security system is impenetrable, however, and we cannot guarantee that information transmitted to us over the internet will not be intercepted. Please keep your password confidential and do not share it with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from MySyara. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
The Platform is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and minors are not permitted to register or transact. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
The Platform may include links to third-party websites, and social media features and widgets that are hosted by a third party or run on our site. These may collect your IP address and the page you are visiting, and may set a cookie in order to function. Your interactions with them are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing them, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we link to.
If you use our referral programme to tell a friend about MySyara, we will ask for your friend's name and mobile number or email address in order to send a one-time invitation and to track the referral. Please only share someone's details with their agreement. Your friend may contact us at to have their information removed.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. If we make a material change we will notify you by email to the address on your account, or by a prominent notice on the Platform, before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
