A battery that lasts four or five years in a temperate climate often gives out in two to three years in the UAE. Heat is the main reason. The engine bay in a Dubai summer regularly exceeds 60 degrees Celsius, and sustained heat accelerates the internal chemical degradation inside a battery. A car parked in the sun all day is not resting. It is slowly cooking the battery.
The other factor is short trips. A battery recharges while the engine runs; if most of your driving is short hops across a few kilometres, the battery may never fully recover charge between starts. Over months, this shortfall compounds.
