Book a slot, drop the car at an Abu Dhabi workshop, collect it the same day in most cases.
A minor service suits most cars every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months. A major service is due roughly every 30,000 to 40,000 km and adds filters, spark plugs and wipers. Tell us the mileage and the date of the last one.
Pick a workshop reachable from your area, whether that is Khalifa City, Mussafah, MBZ or the island. The service is fixed-price, so the figure does not move unless the inspection finds something and you approve it.
Oil and filter done, fluids topped up, and a multi-point inspection with a fault-code scan. On an Abu Dhabi Ford the cooling system gets particular attention, because long fast runs are when it has to work hardest.

The Ford mix in Abu Dhabi leans to the larger end: Edge and Explorer family SUVs, Expeditions, F-150 pickups. These are vehicles chosen for space and distance, and the emirate gives them plenty of both. Long runs down the E11 and E10, trips out to Al Ain, daily commuting between the island and Mussafah or MBZ.
Two consequences follow. The first is that kilometres arrive before the calendar does, so a “10,000 km or 6 months” interval almost always resolves on distance. The second is that the cooling system spends far more of its life under sustained load than a city car’s would, and sustained load in 45°C ambient is precisely the condition that exposes a cooling system that is halfway to a problem.
A minor service is the routine one, every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months. It covers Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, all fluids topped up, and a multi-point inspection with a fault-code scan.
A major service is typically every third service, around 30,000 to 40,000 km or every two years. The difference is replacement rather than cleaning: a new air filter, a new cabin filter, new spark plugs and new wiper blades, on top of everything the minor covers. Given Abu Dhabi mileage, the major usually arrives on kilometres rather than years.
The Mustang prices one tier higher on both, because of its oil volume and parts.
On several popular Fords, the cooling system is the one area where neglect gets genuinely expensive rather than merely inconvenient. A coolant leak or degraded coolant that would be a modest job if caught becomes a major one if it is allowed to overheat the engine.
Because that is cheap to look at and costly to miss, coolant condition, level and any sign of seepage are part of every service here rather than something saved for a major. On an Abu Dhabi car doing long hot runs, it is the single most valuable five minutes of the visit.
Suspension, because a heavy SUV on hot roads and speed humps works its bushes and dampers hard, and because vague steering creeps up so gradually that most owners stop noticing it.
Air conditioning, for the usual reasons: a condenser clogged with fine dust cannot shed heat, and on a large cabin the system is working near its limit for months at a time.
On the compact automatics, Focus, Fiesta and EcoSport, gearbox behaviour is worth mentioning if you have noticed anything. Batteries rarely see a third UAE summer, so a battery test at service time is worth more here than in most climates. Anything found is quoted for approval, and if it is a repair rather than maintenance it is priced separately.
