On a large-capacity engine working in Dubai heat the shorter end of that range is the safer habit: oil degrades faster at 45°C than the manual's temperate-climate assumptions allow, and these engines generate real heat in traffic.

Most Dodge price lists are wrong for most Dodge owners
Here is something specific to this brand that is worth understanding before you book anywhere.
Dodge spans an unusually wide range. A Neon is a compact saloon. A Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup. A Charger is a performance saloon with a large-capacity engine, and a Viper is a supercar. They share a badge and very little else.
In our catalogue they do not sit in one price band, and the split does not follow size. The Charger and Challenger price a tier above the Durango and the Ram, despite being smaller vehicles, because their drivetrains, parts and fluids cost more.
That matters because the Charger and Challenger are, between them, roughly two thirds of the Dodge work we do. So a single advertised “Dodge service price” based on the cheaper band would be wrong for the majority of Dodge owners, and they would find out at collection rather than at booking.
We would rather publish three numbers that are right than one that is convenient:
Charger and Challenger, including SRT: minor AED 625, major AED 1300. Durango, Ram 1500 and Nitro: minor AED 650, major AED 1250. Neon and Dart: minor AED 525, major AED 1075.

The cooling system is where a V8 shows its age
On the Charger, Challenger and the V8 Durango, the thing we watch most closely is cooling.
A large-capacity engine generates a great deal of heat, and Dubai traffic is the least helpful place to put one: low speeds, little airflow, 45°C ambient air, and the air conditioning working flat out at the same time. That combination asks more of a cooling system than motorway driving ever does.
Nothing about this is a design fault. It is physics, and it means coolant condition on these cars deserves checking every service rather than every third. A radiator flush is AED 225 regardless of model, which makes it one of the cheapest sensible things you can do before summer.
If the temperature gauge starts climbing in traffic, that is worth stopping for rather than pressing on.
Brakes on a heavy, fast car
The second thing these cars consume is brakes, and for a straightforward reason: a Charger is both heavy and quick, and Dubai driving involves a lot of accelerating to a gap and then stopping again.
We measure pad thickness rather than estimating it, and we tell you the measurement rather than just a verdict. On a car like this that honesty matters in both directions, because sometimes the answer is that you have another few thousand kilometres and sometimes it is that you should not leave it.
Minor or major: which one is due
A minor service is the routine one, every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, covering Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, all fluids topped up and a multi-point inspection.
A major service is typically every third service, around 30,000 to 40,000 km or every two years, replacing rather than cleaning: air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs and wiper blades. On the Charger and Challenger the spark plugs alone are AED 300 as a standalone job, which is part of why the major sits where it does.
In Dubai the shorter interval is generally right. Heat shortens oil life, and on a large engine that is not a corner worth cutting.
Ram 1500 and Durango: the four-wheel-drive items
If your Durango or Ram is four-wheel drive, there is a transfer case with its own oil, and a change is from AED 375. Cheap, quick, and reliably the first item to fall off a maintenance schedule once a vehicle leaves the dealer network.
On a heavy vehicle in this climate the transmission also works hard, so fluid condition is worth asking about at every service rather than waiting for a symptom.
Anything the inspection flags is reported with a price, and if it is a repair rather than maintenance it is quoted separately.
