Very smooth process and a great experience overall. Thank you Razeen for helping out in changing my battery. Highly recommended.

Loved every single bit. Right from the pick up to drop off, everything was well coordinated and handled professionally. I would recommend everyone to give their service a go.

I have been using their services for the past 2 years, and this time I opted for their AC top-up service at my home. Very convenient and hassle-free. Excellent service as always.

A minor service is AED 350 and a major service AED 775. The Mazda6 prices at the tier-1 saloon rate, which is the cheapest band we publish, and a doorstep visit costs exactly the same as bringing the car in. An oil change on its own is from AED 180, spark plugs are AED 200 and a gearbox fluid change AED 250, or AED 375 with the filter.
Carbon deposits on the intake valves. This engine injects fuel directly into the cylinder, which means fuel no longer passes over the back of the intake valves and no longer washes them clean. Deposits accumulate instead, and owners typically start reporting the effects somewhere around 90,000 to 100,000 km as misfires, a loss of power and worse fuel economy. There is no specified interval for cleaning it, so it appears in no handbook and on no dealer schedule. It is not a defect, it is a consequence of the injection design, but it is a real need and it has to be asked for.
By symptoms and mileage rather than by a date. If the car is past roughly 90,000 km and has developed a rough idle, hesitation, a misfire or a noticeable drop in fuel economy without any other explanation, it is worth investigating. We would scan it first, because the symptoms overlap with ignition faults that are far cheaper to fix, and spark plugs at AED 200 are always worth eliminating before anything larger.
Usually not, and there is a documented explanation. A valve tapping or knocking noise from the top of the engine after the car has been parked overnight, or after extended idling, is associated with the hydraulic valve lifters bleeding down as the engine cools or idles, which leaves excessive valve clearance until oil pressure refills them. The signature is specific: the noise decreases as you drive, and it goes away if the revs are held above about 2,500 to 3,000 rpm. If yours behaves exactly like that, it is a known characteristic rather than damage. If the noise persists at speed, that is different and worth looking at.
Mobil fully synthetic engine oil, an oil filter replacement, air and cabin filter cleaning, all fluids topped up and a multi-point inspection covering brakes, battery, tyres, belts and coolant condition. It takes about an hour at your home or office and carries a 6 month service warranty.
No. Mazda stayed with a conventional torque-converter automatic rather than following the industry into belt-driven CVTs, which removes the single most expensive failure mode affecting most of this car's competitors. The gearbox still wants clean fluid, at AED 250 or AED 375 with the filter, but you are not managing a known weak point. That is a genuine advantage of this car and it is worth knowing when comparing running costs.
Every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first. For most Mazda6s here, doing city and commuting work, the 6 months arrives first and that is the figure to use. Heat degrades oil faster here than the manual's temperate-climate assumptions allow for.
Yes, a minor service anywhere in Dubai at the same price as the workshop. The mechanic arrives in a fully equipped van carrying the oil, the filter and the tools. A major service, which replaces plugs and filters, is better suited to a workshop and we can collect the car.

Minor AED 350 at your home or office, major AED 775. Mobil synthetic oil, full inspection, and a straight answer on the items no schedule mentions.

Fixed price upfront. Anything the inspection finds is quoted, never assumed.

A simple car with one unscheduled need

Most of what makes a Mazda6 cheap to own is what it does not have.

It kept a conventional torque-converter automatic rather than following most of its competitors into belt-driven CVTs, which removes the single most expensive failure mode affecting cars in this class. There is no gearbox weak point to manage, no fluid-temperature protection behaviour to interpret, no transmission that can cost more than the car.

That simplicity means the published service schedule genuinely covers almost everything this car needs.

Almost.

There is one real maintenance requirement that appears in no handbook and on no dealer schedule, and because nobody tells you about it, it only ever gets dealt with after it has started causing symptoms.

Carbon on the intake valves

This engine injects fuel directly into the cylinder.

On older engines, fuel passed through the inlet port on its way in and continuously washed the back of the intake valves clean as a side effect. Direct injection removes that entirely. The valves now sit in a path that carries only air, and deposits accumulate on them over years.

Owners typically begin reporting the effects somewhere around 90,000 to 100,000 km: a misfire, a loss of power, and a noticeable drop in fuel economy with no other explanation.

Here is the part that matters: there is no specified interval for cleaning it. It is not in the handbook, not on the dealer schedule, and not in any reminder your car will give you.

It is not a defect โ€” it is a consequence of the injection design that affects direct-injection engines generally. But it is a genuine need, and on this car it has to be asked for rather than arriving on a service list.

So if your Mazda6 is past roughly 90,000 km, ask us about it. Cleaning is quoted after inspection because the scope varies with how much has built up.

Check the cheap causes first

Worth saying immediately, because the symptoms above are not unique to carbon.

Rough idle, hesitation, misfire and poor economy also describe ignition faults, which are far cheaper. Spark plugs are AED 200 and always worth eliminating before anything larger.

So the order is: scan it, eliminate plugs and coils, then consider the valves. Any workshop that jumps straight to a cleaning job on those symptoms has skipped the inexpensive possibilities.

The tapping noise that is not damage

A second thing worth knowing, because it worries owners unnecessarily and it is common in this city.

If your Mazda6 produces a valve tapping or knocking noise from the top of the engine after it has been parked overnight, or after sitting idling for a long time, there is a documented explanation.

The hydraulic valve lifters bleed down as the engine cools or idles for an extended period, which leaves excessive valve clearance until oil pressure refills them. The result is a tap that is entirely mechanical in origin and not a sign of wear.

The signature is specific and you can check it yourself:

The noise decreases as you drive.

It disappears if the revs are held above roughly 2,500 to 3,000 rpm.

If yours behaves exactly like that, it is a known characteristic. If the noise persists at speed, that is a different matter and worth looking at properly.

Extended idling is worth flagging as a Dubai factor here: waiting in a car park with the engine running, or long periods stationary in traffic, is precisely the condition described.

Tier 1, and the doorstep costs nothing extra

AED 350 minor, AED 775 major. Tier 1 is the cheapest band we publish on any brand.

The doorstep visit is the same price as the workshop. Our mechanic arrives at your home or office in a fully equipped van carrying the oil, the filter and the tools. About an hour, and the car never leaves your building.

A minor service covers Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, all fluids topped up and a multi-point inspection.

A major service replaces rather than cleans: air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs and wiper blades. Better done at a workshop, and we can collect the car.

An oil change on its own is from AED 180 if that is all you need.

The gearbox, briefly

Because there is genuinely not much to say, and that is the point.

A conventional automatic still wants clean fluid. A change is AED 250, or AED 375 with the filter.

What you are not doing is managing a known weak point. On a great many cars in this class the transmission is the component that decides whether the vehicle is worth keeping. On this one it is a routine fluid service, and we will tell you what the fluid looks like rather than recommending it by default at every visit.

What the inspection watches here

Battery. Dubai heat shortens battery life far more than age does, and the failure is normally sudden.

Brakes, measured in millimetres and reported as a number so you can decide with information.

Coolant condition, because a car idling in traffic makes heat with little airflow to clear it, and cooling systems lose margin quietly over several summers. A flush is AED 225.

Tyres, including the age of the rubber and not only the tread. Heat degrades tyres on a timescale unrelated to distance.

Alignment at AED 200, worth doing more often than most people think here, because it is a tyre-saving measure as much as a handling one.

Anything flagged comes with a price. If it is a repair rather than maintenance, it is quoted separately and you decide.
