How it works

Serviced and back, same day

Book a slot, tell us the engine and the oil history, and collect it the same day in most cases.

01

Tell us petrol or diesel

The 4.0 petrol V6 and the 3.0 D-4D diesel are different service jobs. On the diesel, tell us when the oil was last changed and whether it has used any between changes, because that decides what we read first.

App or web
02

We collect or you drop in

Drop it at Al Quoz, Umm Ramool or Wadi Al Amardi, or ask for collection from most of Dubai. The service is fixed-price, so the figure does not move unless the inspection finds something and you approve it. A doorstep minor service is available in Dubai at the same price.

Fixed price
03

Inspected, serviced, returned

Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, fluids topped up and a full inspection. On a diesel we read the drained oil for the first signs of injector-seal leakage before it ever reaches the pickup strainer.

Across 11,600+ reviews on Google and the MySyara app

MySyara Car Service Centre in Al Quoz is excellent. Professional staff, quick service, and great attention to detail. Highly recommend.

I had major service work done on my car, and everything was clearly explained and handled professionally. The team was transparent, helpful, and honest about what needed to be done and what could wait.

They are very professional, took my car and returned it back on time, they checked all the mechanical aspects of the car and advised on some replacements. Mr. Mohammad Saheer was the adviser, he was so helpful.

A minor service is AED 425 and a major service AED 900, both fixed before you book, because the Prado prices in tier 1, our cheapest band, at the larger-vehicle rate. An oil change on its own is from AED 230 and spark plugs on the petrol V6 are AED 200. A gearbox or ATF change is from AED 275, an ATF change with filter AED 425, and the transfer case oil AED 375. Air filter AED 100, cabin filter AED 75, radiator flush AED 225 and A/C gas top-up AED 150. Injector seals, pistons and head-gasket work on the D-4D diesel are quoted after inspection.
Because on the 3.0 D-4D the oil is the earliest place a leaking injector seal shows itself. A weakening seal lets combustion gases and soot past into the oil, which darkens and thickens faster than it should and can even rise in level. Read in time, that is a seal to replace. Ignored, the soot can clog the oil pickup strainer that feeds the pump, and falling oil pressure then threatens the whole engine. So on a diesel we inspect the oil that comes out, not just the oil that goes in.
Any loss of power, extra smoke, or an engine oil level that is climbing rather than dropping. A rising level is the one most owners miss, because it is counter-intuitive: it happens as fuel and combustion products dilute the oil past a leaking seal. If you see it, bring the car in sooner rather than at the next scheduled service, because the cheap fix is the seal and the expensive one is what a clogged pickup strainer leads to.
It matters a lot. The 4.0 petrol V6 is the 1GR-FE, shared with the 4Runner and Hilux, and it is an uncomplicated engine: right oil grade, spark plugs at a major for AED 200, and the air filter managed against conditions. The 3.0 D-4D diesel takes diesel-grade oil, has no spark plugs, and wants the oil read rather than just changed for the injector-seal reason above. Tell us which you have when you book so we bring the right oil and parts.
The driveline fluids earn attention on a car that works off-road. A gearbox or ATF change is from AED 275, an ATF change with filter AED 425, and the transfer case oil AED 375. Differential oil is quoted after inspection and matters most if the car wades or does low-range work. On a road-only Prado these intervals stretch; on one that tows they come up sooner.
A minor service every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first, with the shorter end the safer habit here. Dubai heat degrades oil faster than the manual's temperate assumptions allow, and on a D-4D the sooner the oil is looked at, the sooner a weeping seal is caught. A major service is every third, around 30,000 to 40,000 km or two years.
A minor is Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, fluids topped up and a full inspection, plus the oil-condition check on a diesel. That is AED 425. A major, around every 30,000 to 40,000 km or two years, replaces rather than cleans: air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs on the petrol V6 and wiper blades. That is AED 900. Injector and piston work is quoted separately on the diesel.

Minor AED 425, major AED 900, fixed before you book. Mobil synthetic oil, and on a diesel the oil read properly before a seal becomes a strainer.

Fixed price upfront. Anything the inspection finds is quoted, never assumed.

On a D-4D Prado, the oil is doing a second job

Most of what makes a Prado a Prado is good news. It is built to last, parts are sensible, and it takes years of UAE use without drama. In tier 1 pricing a minor service is AED 425 and a major AED 900, which is modest for a vehicle this size.

If yours is the 3.0 litre D-4D diesel, there is one habit worth keeping. On that engine the oil is not only a lubricant. Its condition is the earliest evidence of a problem that starts small and can end very large: a leaking injector seal. So when we drain and inspect the oil on a diesel Prado, we are reading the one gauge that tells you what the injectors are doing, long before anything on the dashboard does.

That is why, on a D-4D, the oil change is the most important fifteen minutes of the service.

The leak you can read in the oil

Here is the path, because it is worth understanding before you get quotes anywhere.

Each injector sits in the cylinder head behind a seal. When that seal weakens and leaks, combustion gases and fine soot are pushed past it and down into the engine oil. The oil is where the evidence collects first: it darkens and thickens faster than it should, the level can creep up rather than down as combustion products dilute it, and the soot loading climbs.

Left alone, that contaminated oil carries its soot to the one place that cannot tolerate it. The oil pickup strainer, the gauze that feeds the oil pump, slowly clogs. Once the pickup is starving, oil pressure falls across the whole engine, and an engine short of oil pressure does not last. That is the route by which a cheap seal, ignored, becomes a failed engine.

The seals improved over the life of the engine. The earliest KD diesels, built before roughly 2008, used a weaker seal more prone to leaking; later cars are better, but the path is identical once a seal does go. Either way the oil tells you first, which is the whole argument for treating it as a diagnostic and not just a fluid.

So on a diesel Prado we read the drained oil for colour, soot, fuel dilution and above all a level that has risen rather than dropped. Oil contaminated beyond its mileage gets flagged and explained, with a price for the fix, and we point you to the repair side if the seals need attention before the strainer gets involved. An oil change on its own is from AED 230, and a full minor service wraps the same oil work into a broader inspection for AED 425.

Petrol V6 or diesel: two different services

The 150-series Prado came two ways in this region, and they are not the same service job.

The 4.0 litre petrol V6 is the 1GR-FE, the engine family also found in the 4Runner and the Hilux. It is long-lived and uncomplicated: keep the oil grade right, replace the spark plugs at a major for AED 200, manage the air filter against conditions, and it asks for little. There are no injector seals leaking combustion into the oil here, which is exactly why the lead on this page is a diesel story.

The 3.0 D-4D diesel is the one that wants the oil read rather than just changed. It takes diesel-grade oil, has no spark plugs at all, and cares a great deal about clean oil on time. Stretching an oil interval on the petrol car is untidy; on a D-4D with a seal starting to weep it is how a small leak becomes a large bill. Tell us which engine you have when you book, so we bring the right oil and parts.

The driveline oils a Prado actually uses

A Prado is a proper four-wheel-drive, and it carries oils that a road car barely touches. A gearbox or ATF fluid change is from AED 275, an ATF change with a new filter is AED 425 where the transmission takes one, and the transfer case oil is AED 375. The transfer case oil is reliably the first item to fall off a maintenance schedule once a car leaves the dealer network, because nothing on the dashboard asks for it.

On a Prado that only sees tarmac these intervals stretch. On one that does low-range work or tows, they come up sooner. Differential oil sits in the same quiet, important category, quoted after inspection because what it needs varies.

Filters and cooling, the quieter items

The air filter loads faster here than any mileage figure assumes, so it is cleaned at every minor service and replaced at every major, AED 100 on its own. The cabin filter is AED 75. And the cooling system is worth keeping honest before summer rather than after a warning: a radiator flush and refill is AED 225, and an A/C gas top-up on an otherwise healthy system is AED 150. None of these are dramatic. They are simply the items that get skipped and then blamed later.

Minor or major: which one is due

A minor service covers Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, all fluids topped up and a full inspection, and on a diesel the look at the oil’s condition. AED 425. A major service is typically every third, around 30,000 to 40,000 km or every two years, and replaces rather than cleans: air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs on the petrol V6 and wiper blades. AED 900.

In Dubai the shorter end of the interval is the safer habit, because oil degrades faster at 45ยฐC than the manual’s temperate-climate assumptions allow. On a D-4D that is doubly true: the sooner the oil is looked at, the sooner a weeping seal is caught. Anything the inspection flags is reported with a price, and if it is a repair rather than maintenance it is quoted separately.
