What customers say

4.4
Across 11,600+ reviews on Google and the MySyara app

Great service done by the team here. Special shout out to Muhammad Shaheer, who gave me solid and legit advice on how to go about with my car and the parts that were to be replaced.

I had major service work done on my car, and everything was clearly explained and handled professionally. The team was transparent, helpful, and honest about what needed to be done and what could wait.

Had a good experience with MySyara and their staff overall. Really impressed with Yadhu's attention to detail. They arranged multiple pick and drop at no cost, which was a big relief and convenient.

A minor service is AED 625 and a major service AED 1300, the same as our Dubai workshops with no Abu Dhabi premium. A full fault scan is included in the service, gearbox fluid with filter is from AED 825, spark plugs are AED 300 and a radiator flush AED 225.
Because on this car waiting for a symptom is a weak strategy, and Abu Dhabi driving makes it weaker. The E-Class is engineered specifically to isolate the driver from noise, vibration and road surface. That is most of what you paid for. The side effect is that a developing fault has to get considerably louder before it reaches you than it would in a less refined car. Add smooth motorway driving, with no stop-start and no low-speed manoeuvring, and you remove most of the remaining situations in which a car reveals itself. So we scan at every service as a matter of course.
On certain V6 engines, crankshaft to camshaft correlation codes that can point at wear in the balance shaft drive. On generations with electro-hydraulic brakes, faults stored in the brake control unit. Both of those are things you want to know about early, and neither reliably announces itself through the steering wheel or the seat on a smooth road at a constant speed.
Every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first. On Abu Dhabi distances the kilometres almost always come first. A car covering 2,500 km a month reaches 10,000 km in four months, so a date-based habit will quietly take you well past the interval.
Not for the engine. Steady cruising means fewer cold starts per kilometre and fewer thermal cycles than city driving, which is mechanically gentler. What sustained speed does consume is the expensive consumables on a heavy tier-3 saloon: tyres, brakes and alignment. Those are where the real running cost of a high-distance E-Class sits, rather than in the service itself.
Because motorway driving hides it. In traffic you feel a car pulling and you act on it. At a constant 120 on a straight road, slight misalignment produces almost no symptom through the wheel while it steadily destroys one edge of a tyre. On a tier-3 saloon a set of tyres is a significant sum, so the AED 200 alignment is a tyre-saving measure as much as a handling one.
Not yet. Our doorstep mechanic service runs in Dubai only. In Abu Dhabi the work is done at a workshop, reachable from the island, Khalifa City, Mussafah, MBZ, Al Raha and out towards Al Shamkha. Most services are same-day, which suits a car you need back for the commute.
Yes, provided the oil meets the right specification, the parts are genuine or quality-equivalent, the schedule is kept and the work is recorded. On this car we would add one thing: keep the scan results too. A documented history showing the codes were clean at each visit is worth more on an E-Class than a stamp alone, because it is evidence about the parts of the car you cannot see.

A quiet car on a smooth road tells you almost nothing

The E-Class is engineered to isolate you from noise, vibration and road surface. That is not incidental, it is most of what the car is for and most of what you paid for.

It also has a consequence nobody mentions at the showroom: a developing fault has to get considerably louder before it reaches you than it would in a less refined car. The insulation does not distinguish between road noise and a warning.

Now add how an E-Class is typically used in this emirate. Long, smooth, constant-speed motorway runs. No stop-start. No speed bumps. No low-speed manoeuvring in a car park.

Those are precisely the situations in which a car reveals itself โ€” a knock over a bump, a hesitation pulling away, a shudder in slow traffic. Remove them and you remove most of the remaining feedback.

So an Abu Dhabi E-Class driver gets less sensory information about their car than almost any other driver. Which makes “it feels fine” a weak basis for deciding nothing needs attention.

The practical answer is not to worry more. It is to stop relying on feel and scan on a schedule.

What the scan is actually looking for

Not a generic health check. Two specific things on this car.

On certain V6 engines, crankshaft to camshaft correlation codes that can point at wear in the balance shaft drive. These progress over weeks and months, and the symptoms are mild and easy to attribute to age.

On generations with electro-hydraulic brakes, faults stored in the brake control unit, where the specific code determines whether you are looking at a small component or a large assembly.

Neither of those reliably announces itself through the steering wheel or the seat on a smooth road at a constant speed. Both are stored and readable. That asymmetry is the entire argument for a scheduled scan, and it is why the scan is included in the service rather than sold as an extra.

We read the codes out to you. “It passed” is not a result; the stored codes are.

Distance, not date

The interval is every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first. On Abu Dhabi distances the kilometres come first, almost always.

At 2,500 km a month you reach 10,000 km in four months. A date-based habit on that usage takes the car comfortably past its interval without anything feeling different, which brings us back to the problem above.

Oil degrades faster at 45ยฐC than at the temperate-climate temperatures these intervals were written around, so we use the shorter end rather than the longer one.

Sustained speed is kind to the engine, expensive elsewhere

Worth being clear, because high mileage makes owners defensive about their cars.

Steady cruising is mechanically gentler than city driving. Fewer cold starts per kilometre, fewer thermal cycles, no repeated acceleration loading. The engine in a high-distance motorway E-Class is often in better health than one in a low-mileage city car.

What sustained speed does consume is the expensive consumables on a heavy tier-3 saloon:

Tyres, where the age of the rubber matters as much as the tread, and where sustained speed on hot asphalt is the hardest life a tyre has.

Brakes, measured in millimetres and reported as numbers. A heavy saloon stopping from 120 dissipates far more energy than one in traffic, and tier-3 brake parts are not tier-1 prices.

Alignment at AED 200, which matters more here than most owners think. In traffic you feel a car pulling and act on it. At a constant 120 on a straight road, slight misalignment produces almost no symptom while it quietly destroys one edge of a tyre. On this car a set of tyres is a real sum, so alignment is a tyre-saving measure as much as a handling one.

That is where the running cost of a high-distance E-Class actually sits. Not in the service.

What the service covers

AED 625 minor: Mobil fully synthetic oil to the correct Mercedes specification, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, all fluids topped up, a multi-point inspection and the full fault scan.

AED 1300 major, which replaces rather than cleans: air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs and wiper blades.

Oil specification is not a detail on these engines. They are designed around a particular grade and additive package, and the timing components depend on clean oil at the right pressure. We use the correct specification every time.

Two items worth planning rather than reacting to:

Gearbox fluid with filter, from AED 825. Often called lifetime. Worth doing on a car with real distance behind it.

Coolant condition, checked every visit. These systems use a good deal of plastic, and years of heat make plastic brittle rather than slowly weepy, so there is less warning than you would get from a corroding metal part. A flush is AED 225.

That last point carries more weight here than in the city. On the Al Ain road or out past Al Shamkha, a cooling failure happens a long way from assistance, and an engine run hot repeatedly on a tier-3 car is in a bracket of its own.

No doorstep here, and no premium either

Our doorstep mechanic runs in Dubai only. In Abu Dhabi the work is workshop-based: Khalifa City, Mussafah, MBZ, Al Raha and out towards Al Shamkha. Most services are same-day, which matters on a car you need back for tomorrow’s commute.

What you do not pay is any Abu Dhabi surcharge. Every figure here is what our Dubai workshops charge.

One note on records

On this car, keep the scan results alongside the service stamps.

A documented history showing the stored codes were clean at each visit is worth more on an E-Class than a stamp alone, because it is evidence about the parts of the car a buyer cannot inspect and cannot feel on a test drive. Given everything above about refinement, that is exactly the evidence a careful buyer wants.

Anything the inspection finds comes with a price. If it is a repair rather than maintenance, it is quoted separately and you decide.
