How it works

Serviced and back, same day

Book a slot, drop the car at an Abu Dhabi workshop, collect it the same day in most cases.

01

Pick minor or major

A minor service suits most cars every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months. A major service is due roughly every 30,000 to 40,000 km and adds filters, spark plugs and wipers. Tell us the model and mileage.

02

Drop the car in

Pick a workshop reachable from your area, whether that is Khalifa City, Mussafah, MBZ or the island. The service is fixed-price, so the figure does not move unless the inspection finds something and you approve it.

Fixed price
03

Inspected, serviced, returned

Oil and filter done, fluids topped up, a full fault-code scan, and a look at the DSG fluid and coolant. On a car covering Abu Dhabi distances both age faster than the calendar suggests.

Doorstep visits are Dubai-only for now, so in Abu Dhabi the car comes to a workshop. If your VW has a DSG gearbox, ask about the fluid service: long motorway runs age it faster than you would expect.

MySyara is always my top choice due to their commitment to excellent service delivery. Today again I used their service for my VW Passat and the whole process was so smooth, from collecting the car right through to delivery.

Recently visited to get my Volkswagen GTI fixed. A great team, very courteous staff. They treat your vehicle like their life depends upon getting it right. Unlike other places, they offer you choices and explain things.

Had a great experience having my Volkswagen serviced and repaired. Not only was he honest and open about pricing, he also tried to ensure that I did not end up overspending.

The same as our Dubai workshops, with no Abu Dhabi premium. A minor service is AED 525 for a sedan or compact such as a Golf, Jetta or Passat, and AED 650 for an SUV such as a Tiguan, Touareg or Teramont. A major service is AED 1075 and AED 1250 respectively, both fixed before you book.
Mobil fully synthetic engine oil, an oil filter replacement, air and cabin filter cleaning (cleaning rather than replacement at this level), all fluids topped up, a full fault-code scan and a multi-point inspection that includes a DSG fluid check where fitted. The car is usually back the same day and the work carries a 6 month service warranty.
A major service includes everything in the minor, then replaces rather than cleans: a new air filter, a new cabin filter, new spark plugs and new wiper blades, alongside the Mobil fully synthetic oil, oil filter, fluids top-up and inspection. It is typically due every third service.
Yes, and the driving here makes it more relevant rather than less. DSG fluid degrades with heat, and long runs on the E11 and E10 hold the transmission at temperature for extended periods rather than in short bursts. A service is from AED 750. The early symptom of neglect is a hesitation or shudder pulling away, by which point the clutch packs are usually wearing. We check the fluid at every service and tell you where it stands.
Less than most people assume. A VW minor service is AED 525 where an Audi, BMW or Mercedes is AED 625, and the gap widens on repairs: a VW AC compressor is AED 1025 against AED 1650 on those brands, and a radiator AED 1125 against AED 1850. You get German engineering at a materially lower running cost.
A minor service every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first. In Abu Dhabi the distance usually arrives first: long motorway runs, trips out to Al Ain and inter-emirate commuting accumulate kilometres quickly, so plenty of cars here pass 10,000 km well inside six months.
Not yet. Doorstep visits currently run in Dubai only, so in Abu Dhabi the car comes to a workshop. For a full service that is the correct place regardless, since the car needs lifting to drain the oil, change the filter and inspect the underbody properly.

Abu Dhabi distance is what ages a DSG

The Volkswagen that comes through our Abu Dhabi workshops most often is the Touareg, followed by Jetta, Passat and Tiguan. These are cars covering real distance: the E11, the E10, the Al Ain road, daily commuting between the island and Mussafah or MBZ.

The engines handle that comfortably. The gearbox is where the mileage shows, and specifically the DSG dual-clutch fitted to most modern Volkswagens.

DSG fluid degrades with heat. City traffic heats it in bursts; an hour at motorway speed in July holds it at temperature continuously, which is the harder version of the same problem. Because Abu Dhabi cars accumulate kilometres quickly, the fluid tends to reach the end of its useful life sooner than an owner expects from the calendar alone.

What the symptom looks like, and what it costs

Neglected DSG fluid does not announce itself with a warning light. What you get is a hesitation when pulling away from a standstill, or a faint shudder in slow traffic, and because the car still drives normally most owners live with it.

That is the window worth acting in. A DSG service is AED 750. Once the clutch packs have worn mechanically, the repair is in a different bracket entirely. On a tier-2 car that ratio is strongly in your favour, which is why we check the fluid at every service rather than waiting to be asked.

The affordability point is real

Volkswagen shares a great deal of engineering with Audi, but sits a full price tier below the German premium brands here. A minor service is AED 525 against AED 625. An AC compressor is AED 1025 against AED 1650. A radiator is AED 1125 against AED 1850.

That gap is the practical case for a VW in this market: the same engineering culture at a running cost closer to a mainstream Japanese car, provided the DSG fluid and the coolant are kept honest.

Minor or major: which one is due

A minor service is the routine one, every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, covering Mobil fully synthetic oil, a new oil filter, filter cleaning, all fluids topped up, a fault-code scan and the DSG check.

A major service is typically every third service, around 30,000 to 40,000 km or every two years, replacing air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs and wiper blades. Given Abu Dhabi mileage the major usually arrives on kilometres rather than years.

Coolant, and 4Motion

VW engines use plastic thermostat housings and coolant fittings, and sustained heat makes plastic brittle. A thermostat is AED 450 and a flush AED 225, both modest next to a coolant leak that overheats an engine on a long run. Coolant condition gets checked every visit.

If your VW is a 4Motion, the transfer case has its own oil and a change is from AED 325. On a Touareg covering Abu Dhabi distances it is worth asking about.

Anything flagged is quoted for your approval, and if it is a repair rather than maintenance it is priced separately.
