How it works
Serviced and back, same day
Book a slot, tell us the mileage, and collect it the same day in most cases.
Tell us the mileage and the oil history
When it was last serviced, and whether the car has needed oil between services. Audi names the traffic here as a cause of consumption, so those answers decide what we measure and record on this visit.
Workshop or doorstep minor
Drop in at Al Quoz, Umm Ramool or Wadi Al Amardi, or book a doorstep minor service anywhere in Dubai at the same price. The service price is fixed before we start.
Serviced, scanned and recorded
Mobil fully synthetic oil to spec, a new filter, fluids topped up, a fault scan, and the oil level logged against the mileage so you leave with a baseline, not a blank.

Coverage
Q5 servicing across Dubai
Workshops in Al Quoz, Umm Ramool and Wadi Al Amardi, with a doorstep minor service available across the city if you would rather not drive in.
Workshop-based, with a doorstep minor service across Dubai at the same price as the workshop. Engine work, including anything that follows an oil consumption test, is workshop only. The oil level is recorded against the mileage at every service, because on this engine in this city that record is the only evidence worth having.
What customers say
This is the only garage I ever visit for whatever problem. Mechanics are intelligent and honest, which is something you will not find in most places. Their prices are very reasonable for the work being done.
Again MySyara surprised me with their amazing services, really they are my favourite. The best all-in-one car service, whatever you need they can do it. They do it on time, perfect quality, good communication, and give you honest and good advice.

A Q5 service that does not record the oil level has thrown away the only evidence that matters
The Audi Q5 is a turbocharged quattro SUV, and the single most useful thing a workshop can do for one in Dubai is also the quietest: write down how much oil is in the engine, against the mileage, every time the car comes in. That sounds like a clerical detail. On this engine, in this city, it is the whole game.
Here is why. The Q5’s TFSI engines use some oil between services, and Audi itself has said so in writing. The danger is never the consumption on its own. It is consuming oil for months with no record of how fast, so that nobody, not you, not us, not Audi, can say whether the rate is ordinary or a problem. A service that changes the oil and hands the car back without logging the level has done the mechanical work and discarded the one piece of information that would have told you where you stand.
So this page is not built around the cheapest possible service. It is built around a service that produces a record. Everything else, the oil, the filters, the fluids, the inspection, is ordinary tier-3 SUV maintenance done properly, and it is priced plainly below. The difference that matters is that when your Q5 leaves, there is a documented oil baseline that was not there before.
Audi named this city’s traffic, not the owner
Owners are often made to feel that oil consumption is a sign they have done something wrong. Audi’s own position is the opposite, and it is worth reading in the manufacturer’s words.
An Audi circular for the 2.0 TFSI engine states that “under certain driving conditions, internal engine pressure conditions in the 2.0 TFSI engine can negatively influence the rate of oil consumption,” and that “this condition can occur while the vehicle is operated in metro driving conditions; for example: stop-and-go traffic with extended idle periods.” A parallel circular says the same of the 3.0 TFSI engine in “city driving conditions, for example: stop and go traffic with extended idle periods.”
Read that against your commute. Stop-and-go traffic with extended idle periods is not an edge case in Dubai, it is the ordinary condition of driving here. The manufacturer has described, in its own documents, the exact pattern that dominates this city, and tied it to the rate at which the engine uses oil. That reframes the whole subject. On a Q5 here, some oil consumption is an expected characteristic to be managed, not a surprise to be argued about. And the way you manage an expected characteristic is that you measure it.
The oil specification is itself one of Audi’s factors
Audi did not stop at naming the traffic. It also listed what the rate of consumption depends on, and the list has a detail that matters at 45 degrees.
Audi states the rate depends on “the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature and road conditions,” with additional factors being “the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil.”
Two things on that list are directly in our hands at a service. The first is the quality and viscosity of the oil, which is why we use Mobil fully synthetic oil to Audi’s specification and the correct viscosity for your engine rather than a generic fill that merely pours. The second is harder to ignore once you have seen it: ambient temperature is on Audi’s own list, and this is a city that spends months above 40 degrees. The climate that makes the traffic worse is the same climate Audi names as a factor in how fast the oil goes. Using the right oil to the right spec is the part of that equation a good service controls.
What the service records, and why a record beats a memory
A documented baseline is simply this: when your Q5 comes in, we record the oil level and the mileage before we touch anything, and again after the service, and we keep it. Do that at each visit and a rate emerges, in numbers, that no amount of remembering can match. “It seemed fine” is not evidence. “Down three quarters of a litre over 4,000 km, logged and dated” is.
This is the part that separates a Q5 service from simply keeping half an eye on the dipstick at home. Watching the level yourself is sensible, and you should, but a glance in a dark garage does not build the dated, mileage-stamped record that turns a vague worry into a measured rate. The record is the point. It gives you a baseline to judge next year against, it lets us tell you honestly whether the rate is ordinary or climbing, and, as the next section explains, it is the form in which any case to Audi has to be made. A service that skips it has done the oil change and binned the evidence.
Minor and major: the ordinary tier-3 work, done properly
With the oil question settled, the rest is straightforward SUV maintenance, and the Q5 prices as a tier-3 SUV.
A minor service is AED 800, due every 5,000 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first. It covers Mobil fully synthetic oil to Audi’s specification, a new oil filter, cleaning of the air and cabin filters, all fluids topped up, a fault-code scan and a multi-point inspection, and the documented oil baseline described above. In Dubai you can have the minor service done at your door at the same price as the workshop.
A major service is AED 1500, typically every third service, around 30,000 to 40,000 km or every two years. It replaces rather than cleans: a new air filter at AED 125, a new cabin filter at AED 125, new spark plugs and new wiper blades alongside the oil, filter, fluids and inspection. Spark plugs on their own are AED 300.
Because this engine uses oil, the one everyday figure worth stating plainly is the oil change only, from AED 400. On most cars the price of oil is a footnote. On a Q5 that genuinely consumes some between services, oil is a real running cost, and it is honest to treat it as one rather than pretend it away.
The gearbox and quattro fluids
The Q5 here is automatic or S tronic, and its transmission fluid degrades with heat in exactly the traffic Audi described. A gearbox or ATF fluid change is AED 625, or AED 950 with a new filter. If your Q5 is a quattro, the transfer case has its own oil, and a change is AED 550. None of these is large next to what a neglected drivetrain costs, and we check their condition as part of the inspection rather than selling them blind. If they are not due, we will say so.
Dust, filters and cooling before summer
Two of the cheapest items earn their place because of where the car lives. Dubai air carries fine dust most of the year, and the Q5 pulls it through two filters. The air filter at AED 125 feeds the engine, and a clogged one makes it work harder for less. The cabin filter at AED 125 cleans the air you breathe and feeds the air conditioning, and a blocked one is the usual reason a healthy AC seems to push less cold air. Both are cleaned at a service and replaced at the major.
A radiator flush and refill is AED 225, one of the cheaper sensible things to do before summer, because coolant carries corrosion protection that wears out before the coolant stops looking like coolant. An A/C gas top-up is AED 150 where the system still holds pressure. If the AC is weak for a reason a top-up will not fix, that is a repair, diagnosed and priced on the Q5 repair page rather than guessed at here.
Tyres and geometry
The Q5 is a heavy quattro SUV, and on hot roads it wears its tyres unevenly if the geometry drifts. A wheel alignment is AED 200 and keeps the geometry true. A tyre rotation is AED 50 and moves the wear around so a set lasts closer to its full life. A general check is AED 150 if you want the car looked over without a full service. These are small sums that quietly protect larger ones.
The warranty programme, and why the record is what gives it teeth
There is one more reason the documented baseline matters, and it is the reason to keep the record even in the years when the rate looks fine.
Audi has operated a warranty extension for oil consumption. Its warranty bulletin states that “if an oil consumption repair is performed under the Warranty Extension, then the cost of the oil consumption test that led to said repair shall likewise be covered at the same percentage (75%) as provided under the warranty extension,” and that “some customers have complained of excessive engine oil consumption,” while “conditions unrelated to engine oil consumption are not covered under this extension.”
A few things follow, and we want to be careful about all of them. That programme is a dated US scheme with eligibility set by model, model year and VIN, and it contributed a percentage rather than paying in full. We cannot tell you from the model name whether your Q5 qualifies, we cannot promise any coverage, and we are not an Audi dealer and do not administer the programme. Whether it applies to your car, in your market, is Audi’s to confirm by VIN. What we can do is the part that makes any of it possible: measure the consumption properly and document it, so that if you take it to Audi you arrive with a real record rather than an impression. Audi’s own bulletin ties a documented test to the question of contribution. No record, no case. That is the whole argument for writing the number down.
The honest version of a Q5 service
Change the oil to the right Audi specification. Do the ordinary tier-3 work properly. And record the oil level against the mileage, every time, because Audi named the traffic you drive in as a cause and the only thing that turns that into something you can act on is a measured, dated record. Minor AED 800, major AED 1500, fixed before you book, with a doorstep minor service across Dubai at the same price.
If your Q5 is already using oil faster than feels right, that moves from servicing into measuring it formally, which is the Q5 repair page.
