Squealing is usually pads near the end of their life or glazed from heat. A vibration through the pedal normally means the discs have warped or developed uneven deposits, which happens faster in this climate because the brakes get hot and then sit. The fix depends on the measurements: sometimes skimming the discs is enough, sometimes they need replacing with the pads. We measure first and tell you the numbers rather than defaulting to the biggest job.
Either the system is losing refrigerant through a leak, or the condenser at the front of the car cannot shed heat because its fins are packed with fine dust. Both feel identical from the driver's seat. We check pressures and look for the leak before refilling, because a top-up into a leaking system is money spent twice. An AC inspection is AED 99 and a condenser is AED 475, so the whole repair is modest on a Mazda.
No CVT, and that is genuinely good news here. Mazda stayed with conventional torque-converter automatics while several other Japanese makes moved to CVTs, which are the most common Japanese gearbox complaint we see in the UAE because heat degrades their fluid. Your Mazda's automatic benefits from a fluid change at AED 250 on schedule, but it is not the heat-sensitive weak point a CVT is.

The Mazda fault list is shorter than most
Two things make Mazda one of the less worrying cars to own in this country. The parts are inexpensive and widely available, which is why Mazda sits in our lowest price tier. And Mazda avoided the CVT.
That second point deserves more credit than it gets. The CVT is the most common Japanese gearbox problem we deal with in the UAE: heat degrades the fluid, the fluid is what protects the belt and pulleys, and by the time an owner notices a judder the wear is often mechanical. Mazda stayed with conventional torque-converter automatics. Your gearbox wants a fluid change at AED 250 from time to time, not a gamble.
What is left is a short, affordable list: brakes, air conditioning and suspension.
Brakes: measure, then decide
Brakes are the Mazda consumable. The cars are set up to feel alert, the brakes do real work, and Dubai traffic asks for thousands of low-speed stops. Pads reach the end of their life sooner than the service interval suggests.
Two symptoms, two different answers. A squeal usually means pads near the end or glazed from heat. A vibration through the pedal usually means the discs have warped or picked up uneven deposits, which happens readily here because brakes get very hot and then sit still in a car park.
The reason to measure rather than assume is that the cheaper option is often available. Skimming discs can be enough where replacement is not yet necessary. We take the measurements, show you the numbers, and quote the job the numbers justify.
Air conditioning: two causes, one symptom
Air that is cool rather than cold is the other summer certainty. Either refrigerant is leaking out slowly, or the condenser cannot dump heat because its fins are full of fine dust.
They feel the same and cost different amounts. Refilling a leaking system means buying the same gas again in a few weeks. An AED 99 inspection answers the question, and with a Mazda condenser at AED 475 the whole repair stays modest.
Suspension noises are cheap on a Mazda
A knock over speed humps is usually sway bar end links or tired dampers. Because a Mazda is tied down more firmly than a typical family car, worn components tend to announce themselves rather than being quietly absorbed, which is helpful: you hear the problem early.
End links are AED 175. Shock absorbers start at AED 450 a pair. These are among the cheapest noises to chase down in this market, and resolving them restores a good deal of what made the car enjoyable in the first place.
If what you need turns out to be routine servicing rather than a repair, that is fixed-price and cheaper still.
