BMW repair in Dubai, diagnosed for AED 99.

Overheating, a coolant smell, oil on a hot manifold, a drivetrain warning. BMW faults here follow a pattern and the car has usually already logged the code. We read it for AED 99, quote for your specific car, and start work only once you agree.

How it works

From symptom to fix in three steps

Tell us what it is doing, we find out why, you approve the quote before work starts.

01

Book a diagnostic

Book on the app or the website. Tell us the model and what you have noticed, whether that is a temperature warning, a sweet coolant smell, burning oil, a gearbox jolt or a warning light, then pick a workshop and time.

App or web
02

We scan and quote

A technician reads the car's stored fault codes and inspects the relevant systems, then sends a quote for your specific BMW. The figure is for your car and your fault, not a generic labour rate.

03

We repair it, you approve

Cooling, oil leaks, gearbox, suspension, electrical: whatever the diagnosis points to is done only with your say-so. Nothing safety-related is touched without your approval.

Pricing

BMW repair jobs, priced upfront

Prices shown are the sedan and coupe rate (3, 5, 7 Series); an X1, X5, X6 or X7 is typically AED 175โ€“300 more on the same job. M cars sit one tier above and are quoted on the exact variant. Routine servicing, brakes and batteries are priced on their own pages, linked above.

Gearbox & drivetrain

ZF automatics are heat-sensitive. Fluid condition is what to watch.

ATF fluid change (AT/CVT) From AED 550
ATF change with filter From AED 825
DSG/DCT service From AED 750
Transfer case oil change (xDrive) From AED 475

AC & suspension

Expensive parts, which is why we find the leak before refilling.

AC inspection AED 99
AC condenser replacement From AED 1075
AC compressor replacement From AED 1650
Front shock absorbers From AED 1450
Rear shock absorbers From AED 1150
  • Diagnosis is AED 99, which on a BMW is the cheapest money you can spend
  • Fixed-price repairs for the common jobs, shown above before you book
  • Anything bigger is quoted after the diagnosis and only goes ahead with your approval

An AED 99 scan is a rounding error next to a wrongly replaced AED 1650 compressor. Read the codes first.

What customers say

4.4
Across 11,600+ reviews on Google and the MySyara app

Had a great experience with MySyara for my BMW. Special thanks to Mr. Shaheer for his excellent customer service, communication and support throughout the repair. There are many garages, but proper diagnosis and deep knowledge of European cars are not easy to find. MySyara handled the repairs professionally and efficiently, and my car was delivered running perfectly with no fault codes or errors.

I had my BMW E60 523i serviced at this workshop. They completely stripped the engine, rebuilt it, cleaned it and replaced many parts. They did a great job and the engine has been given a new lease of life. I bought the car second-hand and the previous owner had treated it terribly. They do not charge exorbitant prices and they do excellent work.

Super service, professional mechanics, great work fixed my BMW. The guys know their job well and prices are reasonable. Recommend it.

The common repairs are fixed-price. A radiator flush is AED 225 and a radiator replacement AED 1850. A gearbox fluid service starts at AED 550, with a filter at AED 825. An AC condenser starts at AED 1075 and a compressor at AED 1650. Front shock absorbers start at AED 1450 and rears at AED 1150. Those are sedan and coupe rates; an X5, X6 or X7 is usually AED 175 to 300 more. A diagnosis is AED 99 and anything bigger is quoted after it.
Design meets climate. Many BMW engines use an electric water pump rather than a belt-driven one, and a lot of the coolant circuit is plastic: the expansion tank, the thermostat housing, various fittings. Heat makes plastic brittle over time, and an electric pump gives little warning before it stops. That combination is why BMW cooling failures here tend to be sudden rather than gradual, and why any temperature warning on a BMW is worth stopping for rather than driving through.
Usually the valve cover gasket or the oil filter housing gasket. Both harden in sustained heat and begin to weep, and because the oil lands on hot exhaust components it burns off rather than dripping, so you smell it before you ever see a mark on the driveway. It is not an emergency but it does not heal, and oil on a hot manifold is worth dealing with. Caught early it is a gasket job.
Treat it as urgent and stop driving. On a BMW the usual causes are an electric water pump that has failed, a cracked plastic coolant fitting, or a thermostat housing that has started to leak, and none of them improve with more driving. An engine run hot repeatedly is a vastly larger bill than the part that caused it, so the correct move is to get it recovered and diagnosed rather than to try to reach home.
On the ZF automatics fitted to most BMWs that usually points at fluid condition, and heat is what degrades the fluid. Caught early a fluid and filter service at AED 825 often resolves it. Left alone it becomes a valve body or a gearbox, which is a different order of cost entirely.
Yes. The M2, M3, M4 and M5 sit one tier above the prices listed here because of parts cost, so we quote those on the exact variant. X5 M and X6 M price at the standard SUV rate.
MySyara repairs BMW at workshops across Dubai, with Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman also covered. Book a diagnostic, we scan the car and quote for the fault, then carry out the repair with your approval. In Dubai, minor jobs can also be done at your home or office.

The BMW failure most owners here meet first

If you own a BMW in the UAE for long enough, the odds are good that your first significant repair is cooling-related. This is not a quality problem so much as a design meeting a climate it was not drawn for.

Many BMW engines use an electric water pump instead of a belt-driven one, which is better for efficiency and worse for warning you. A belt-driven pump usually gets noisy or weeps before it gives up; an electric one can simply stop. On top of that, a good deal of the coolant circuit is plastic: the expansion tank, the thermostat housing, assorted flanges and fittings. Plastic in sustained 45ยฐC under-bonnet heat gets brittle, and brittle parts crack without much notice.

The practical consequence is that a temperature warning on a BMW deserves a different reaction from a temperature warning on a Corolla. On a BMW it is worth stopping, because the cause is more likely to be sudden and the engine damage from pressing on is the expensive part.

Oil leaks: the smell before the stain

The other familiar BMW habit here is a weeping valve cover gasket or oil filter housing gasket. Heat hardens the rubber, it stops sealing, and because the oil drips onto hot exhaust parts it burns off instead of pooling. Owners notice a hot-oil smell after a drive and often assume it is coming from another car.

It is worth fixing rather than monitoring. Oil on a hot manifold is a fire risk at the extreme end and a progressively messier job at the ordinary end, and caught early it is simply a gasket.

Gearbox: fluid is the cheap intervention

Most BMWs use a ZF automatic that is genuinely durable provided its fluid is not cooked. In Dubai traffic it does get hot, and old fluid is what turns a smooth shift into a jolt. A fluid and filter service at AED 825 is the intervention that works at the symptom stage. A valve body, once the symptom has been ignored for a year or two, is not in the same price bracket.

Why the AED 99 diagnosis pays for itself

BMW parts are not cheap: an AC compressor starts at AED 1650, a radiator at AED 1850, front shocks at AED 1450. Replacing the wrong one of those because the symptom looked obvious is an expensive way to learn that the car had already logged the real fault code.

A scan reads those codes and points the technician at the actual system. The technician confirms it by inspection and quotes the repair. If what you need turns out to be routine servicing rather than a repair, that is fixed-price and cheaper still.
