Dodge Repair & Service ยท Abu Dhabi

Dodge repair in Abu Dhabi, diagnosed for AED 99.

On servicing, a Charger costs AED 100 more than a Neon. On an AC compressor it is AED 625 more. The gap between Dodge bands widens sharply on repairs, so we publish both. Same rates as our Dubai workshops.

How it works

From symptom to fix in three steps

Tell us what it is doing, we find out why, you approve the quote before work starts.

01

Book a diagnostic

Book on the app or the website and pick an Abu Dhabi workshop. Give us the exact model, because that determines the price band, plus the mileage and what you have noticed.

02

We scan and quote

A technician reads the stored fault codes and inspects the relevant systems, then sends a quote for your specific Dodge in its correct band. The figure is for your car, not a range average.

Cooling, brakes, AC, suspension, electrical: whatever the diagnosis points to is done only with your say-so. Nothing safety-related is touched without your approval.

The same as our Dubai workshops, with no Abu Dhabi premium, but it depends which band your model sits in. On a Charger or Challenger an AC compressor starts at AED 1650, a condenser at AED 1075 and front shock absorbers at AED 1450. On a Durango, Ram or Neon the same jobs are AED 1025, AED 650 and AED 800. A diagnosis is AED 99, an AC inspection AED 99 and a radiator flush AED 225 regardless of model.
Because the Charger and Challenger sit in a higher price band, driven by what their parts cost rather than their size. The gap is much wider on repairs than on servicing: a minor service differs by AED 100 between bands, but an AC compressor differs by AED 625. If you are choosing between models, the repair prices tell you far more than the service price does.
Because the bands are not a simple ladder where everything is dearer in the higher one. Most parts cost more on the Charger, but a few individual items, the thermostat among them, are priced higher in the standard band. We publish both figures from the catalogue rather than deriving one from the other, which is the only way to avoid quoting the wrong one.
Urgent, and stop driving. Sustained motorway load in summer is the hardest thing you can ask of a cooling system on a large-capacity engine: continuous load, 45ยฐC ambient air and no recovery period, unlike traffic where heat comes in bursts. It also tends to happen a long way from a workshop. A flush is AED 225 and a thermostat AED 325 or AED 450 depending on model. An engine run hot repeatedly costs many times either.
Tyres first, and on a fast heavy car they matter more than on anything else. Sustained speed on hot asphalt is the hardest life a tyre has, and on a Charger at 120 km/h in July a worn or under-inflated tyre is the most dangerous thing you own. Then brakes, which we measure in millimetres rather than estimate. Then coolant condition, shock absorbers and the battery, which heat kills faster than age does.
Usually a condenser clogged with fine dust, a refrigerant leak, or a compressor worn from working against high pressure. They present almost identically, so we check pressures and find the leak before refilling. On a Charger a condenser is from AED 1075 and a compressor from AED 1650, so the correct diagnosis is worth several hundred dirhams on its own here.
We work with vetted workshops across the emirate, reachable from Khalifa City, Mussafah, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Reem Island, Yas Island, Saadiyat, Al Raha and Al Shamkha. Tell us the area when you book and we route you to the nearest one with an open slot.

The band gap widens on repairs

On our service pages we publish three Dodge bands, because the Charger and Challenger sit a tier above the Durango, Ram and Neon. On servicing the difference is modest: AED 625 against AED 525.

On repairs it is a different matter, and this is the most useful thing on this page.

An AC compressor is from AED 1650 on a Charger and from AED 1025 on a Durango or Neon, a gap of AED 625 on a single job. An AC condenser is from AED 1075 against AED 650. Front shock absorbers are from AED 1450 against AED 800.

If you are weighing up which Dodge to own in Abu Dhabi, the service price tells you very little and the repair prices tell you almost everything.

One warning about assuming the pattern

The bands are not a simple ladder where every item is dearer in the higher one. Most parts are, but a few are not. A thermostat is AED 325 on a Charger and AED 450 on a Durango, the reverse of what the overall pattern implies.

We publish both figures from the catalogue rather than deriving one from the other, because assuming the ladder holds is how a workshop ends up quoting a number it has to revise.

Why the motorway is the harder heat test

Abu Dhabi Dodges cover distance: the E11, the E10, the Al Ain road, the commute between the island and Mussafah or MBZ. That changes which kind of heat stress matters.

Dubai traffic is hot but intermittent. Low speed, little airflow, then gaps where load drops and the system recovers.

An hour at motorway pace in July is continuous. Full load, 45ยฐC ambient air, no recovery at all. On a large-capacity V8 that is the more demanding of the two, and it is where a cooling system that behaves perfectly around Khalifa City can prove marginal out past Al Shamkha.

A radiator flush is AED 225 regardless of model, among the cheapest sensible things you can do to a high-mileage Charger or Durango before summer. If the gauge climbs on the Al Ain road, stop and have the car recovered. The last 60 km is never worth an engine.

Tyres are the item that matters most

On any high-mileage Abu Dhabi car tyres deserve first attention. On a fast, heavy one they deserve it considerably more.

Sustained speed on hot asphalt is the hardest life a tyre has, and on a Charger at 120 km/h in July a worn or under-inflated tyre is comfortably the most dangerous thing you own. It is also the cheapest serious risk to eliminate.

Brakes on a heavy, quick car

The Charger and Challenger are both heavy and fast, and Abu Dhabi adds sustained high speed, which means more energy to dissipate on every stop.

We measure pad thickness rather than estimating it and give you the measurement, not just the conclusion. Sometimes that means several thousand kilometres remain. Sometimes it means do not leave it. Either way you see the reasoning rather than taking it on trust.

Air conditioning, where the band gap bites hardest

Weak AC comes from a condenser clogged with fine dust, a refrigerant leak, or a compressor worn from working against high pressure. All three present much the same way.

On a Durango or Neon the stakes are moderate, a condenser from AED 650 and a compressor from AED 1025. On a Charger they are considerably higher at AED 1075 and AED 1650.

So we check pressures and find the leak before refilling anything. A AED 150 top-up into a leaking system is money spent twice, and on a Charger getting the diagnosis right is worth several hundred dirhams by itself.

Ram 1500 and Durango: the four-wheel-drive items

If your Durango or Ram is four-wheel drive there is a transfer case with its own oil, and a change is from AED 375. Cheap, quick, and reliably the first item to fall off a schedule once a vehicle leaves the dealer network. On a heavy vehicle covering these distances the transmission works hard too, so fluid condition is worth asking about.

If what you need is routine servicing rather than a repair, that is fixed-price in your model’s band and agreed before you book.
