02

We scan and quote

A technician reads the stored fault codes and inspects the relevant systems, then sends a quote for your specific Infiniti. The figure is for your car and your fault, not a generic labour rate.

The common repairs are fixed-price and sit in tier 2, a band below the German luxury brands. A CVT or gearbox fluid change starts at AED 350, or AED 525 with a filter. An AC condenser is from AED 650 and a compressor from AED 1025, with a blower motor at AED 450. A radiator flush is AED 225 and a thermostat AED 450. Sway bar end links are AED 250 and front shock absorbers from AED 800. Those are sedan rates; a QX model is usually AED 50 to 125 more. A diagnosis is AED 99.
No, and this is one of the brand's real advantages. Infiniti shares engines, gearboxes and a great many components with the Nissan range, which is one of the most widely supported in this market. So sourcing is quick and prices are sane, which is a meaningful contrast with European luxury brands where a single component can be both expensive and slow to arrive.
It depends on the model. The QX50 and QX60 use a CVT, while the Q50, QX70 and QX80 use conventional automatic transmissions. If yours is a CVT then fluid condition is the most consequential thing on the car, because a CVT is more sensitive to heat and fluid degradation than a torque-converter automatic, and Dubai traffic is about the hardest environment it can work in. A fluid change is from AED 350. We check which gearbox you have rather than assuming.
On a CVT model that is the classic early symptom of degraded fluid, and it is worth acting on promptly rather than monitoring. Caught at this stage a fluid change from AED 350 often resolves it. Left longer, the wear becomes mechanical rather than a fluid problem and the repair moves into a different bracket entirely. A diagnosis is AED 99 and will tell you which situation you are in.
Yes, by a clear margin. Infiniti prices in tier 2 and those brands in tier 3. An AC compressor is AED 1025 on an Infiniti against AED 1650 on them. A radiator is AED 1125 against AED 1850. Front shock absorbers are AED 800 against AED 1450. Combined with better parts availability, that is the practical case for these cars as used buys.
Yes. Infiniti renamed the range in 2014, so the FX became the QX70, the JX35 became the QX60, the QX56 became the QX80 and the G became the Q50 and Q60. Both sets of names are still in use here and we work on both sides of the change. Give us the year if you are unsure which generation yours is, because that is what determines the right parts.
MySyara repairs Infiniti at workshops across Dubai, with Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman also covered. Book a diagnostic, we scan the car and quote for the fault, then carry out the repair with your approval. In Dubai, minor jobs can also be done at your home or office.

The parts bin is the brand’s best feature

Infiniti occupies an unusual position. It is sold as a luxury brand, it depreciates like a luxury brand, and it is engineered out of the Nissan parts bin.

For an owner buying used, that combination is strongly in your favour. These cars share engines, gearboxes and a great many components with one of the most widely supported ranges in this market. Parts arrive quickly and cost sensibly.

Set that against a European luxury car, where a single component can be both expensive and a week away, and the practical difference over a few years of ownership is considerable. It is the main reason an older Infiniti is a far less risky purchase than the badge might suggest.

The pricing reflects it. Infiniti sits in tier 2 in our catalogue: an AC compressor is AED 1025 where Mercedes, BMW or Audi is AED 1650, a radiator AED 1125 against AED 1850, front shock absorbers AED 800 against AED 1450.

Whether you have a CVT decides everything else

This is the most important thing to establish on an Infiniti, and the reason generic advice about the brand tends to be wrong.

Infiniti shares its transmissions with Nissan, which has a well-known association with CVT gearboxes here. But the range is split down the middle. The QX50 and QX60 use a CVT. The Q50, QX70 and QX80 use conventional automatic transmissions.

If yours is a CVT, fluid condition is the single most consequential item on the car. A CVT is genuinely more sensitive to heat and fluid degradation than a torque-converter automatic, and Dubai traffic is close to the worst environment either can work in: constant low-speed load, 45ยฐC ambient, no sustained airflow.

If yours is a conventional automatic, fluid still matters but the urgency is lower and the failure mode more forgiving.

So we check which gearbox you have before advising. A fluid change is from AED 350 either way, or AED 525 with a filter.

The CVT symptom, and the window to act

On a CVT model the early warning is a hesitation pulling away or a faint shudder in slow traffic. The car otherwise drives normally, which is exactly why owners wait.

That waiting period is the expensive part. Caught at the shudder stage, a fluid change from AED 350 frequently resolves it outright. Once the wear has become mechanical rather than a fluid problem, the repair is in another bracket entirely.

A diagnosis is AED 99 and tells you which side of that line you are on, which is worth knowing before you decide to live with it.

The V6 is rarely the problem

Most Infinitis here use a version of the VQ or VR family V6. These are among the better engines to inherit: robust, produced in enormous numbers, and well supported.

So on an Infiniti the engine is seldom what brings the car in. The diagnosis weights towards the gearbox, the cooling system, the air conditioning and the suspension, which is where the wear actually shows.

Air conditioning and the three identical symptoms

The most common Dubai complaint on any car, and here it follows the usual pattern. Weak AC comes from a condenser clogged with fine dust so the system cannot shed heat, a refrigerant leak, or a compressor worn from working against high pressure.

All three present much the same way. A condenser is from AED 650 and a compressor from AED 1025, against AED 150 for a straightforward top-up, so we check pressures and find the leak before refilling. Gas into a leaking system is money spent twice.

Suspension: the cheap cause first

If your Infiniti knocks over speed bumps, the usual answer is sway bar end links at AED 250, one of the cheapest suspension repairs there is, and Dubai’s speed bumps are exactly what wears them.

Shock absorbers are the next suspect, from AED 800 front, with a floaty ride or uneven tyre wear as the giveaway alongside the noise. We check both before quoting either.

If what you need turns out to be routine servicing rather than a repair, that is fixed at AED 525 for a sedan and AED 650 for an SUV.
