Chevrolet Repair & Service ยท Dubai

Chevrolet repair in Dubai, diagnosed for AED 99.

On a Tahoe or Traverse that is almost always the rear AC circuit, not the whole system, and the two are very different bills. We diagnose for AED 99 and quote the actual fault rather than topping up the gas and hoping.

How it works

From symptom to fix in three steps

Tell us what it is doing, we find out why, you approve the quote before work starts.

01

Book a diagnostic

Book on the app or the website. Tell us the model and what you have noticed, and if it is an AC complaint say whether the problem is the whole cabin or just the rear. That changes what we check first.

02

We scan and quote

A technician reads the stored fault codes and inspects the relevant systems, then sends a quote for your specific Chevrolet. The figure is for your car and your fault, not a generic labour rate.

Pricing

Chevrolet repair jobs, priced upfront

Prices shown are the sedan rate (Cruze, Malibu, Impala); a Captiva, Tahoe, Traverse or Silverado is typically AED 50โ€“125 more on the same job. The Camaro prices a tier higher and we quote it separately.

Cooling system

Turbo sedans and large V8s both run hot in this climate.

Radiator flush & refill AED 225
Thermostat replacement AED 450
Radiator replacement AED 1125

Drivetrain & suspension

Heavy vehicles work their fluid and their dampers hard.

Gearbox fluid change From AED 350
Gearbox fluid with filter From AED 525
Rear shock absorbers From AED 625
Front shock absorbers From AED 800
  • Diagnosis is AED 99 in Dubai, so you are not paying to replace parts that were never the cause
  • Rear AC diagnosed separately, because a rear circuit fault is not a whole-system failure
  • Anything bigger is quoted after the diagnosis and only goes ahead with your approval

A gas top-up is AED 150 and a compressor AED 1025. Worth knowing which one you actually need.

The common repairs are fixed-price. An AC condenser starts at AED 650 and a compressor at AED 1025, with a blower motor at AED 450 and a gas top-up AED 150. A radiator flush is AED 225, a thermostat AED 450 and a radiator replacement AED 1125. Gearbox fluid starts at AED 350, or AED 525 with a filter. Shock absorbers start at AED 625 a pair rear and AED 800 front. Those are sedan rates; a Tahoe, Traverse or Silverado is usually AED 50 to 125 more. A diagnosis is AED 99.
Because the rear cabin is served by its own circuit, usually a second evaporator and its own blower, and that circuit can fail while the front works perfectly. It is not a whole-system failure and should not be treated as one. Topping up the refrigerant will not fix a rear blower motor or a blocked rear expansion valve. We diagnose the two circuits separately, which is why we ask whether the problem is the whole cabin or just the back.
Usually a condenser clogged with fine dust so the system cannot shed heat, a refrigerant leak, or a compressor worn from working against high pressure. All three present similarly, so we check pressures and find the leak before refilling. Gas into a leaking system is money spent twice. A condenser is from AED 650 and a compressor from AED 1025, against AED 150 for a straightforward top-up.
Treat it as urgent and stop driving. The modern Cruze and Malibu use small turbocharged engines that run hot and place real demand on the cooling system, and summer traffic is exactly where a tired one gives up. A flush is AED 225 and a thermostat AED 450. An engine run hot repeatedly costs many times either.
No. The Camaro prices a tier above the rest of the Chevrolet range because its parts cost more, so we quote it individually rather than publishing a single figure. Tell us the model and engine when you book and we will confirm the price upfront, as with everything else.
It is worth asking about. A heavy vehicle in this climate works its transmission hard, and fluid condition degrades with heat and load rather than with age. A change is from AED 350, or AED 525 with a filter, which is inexpensive next to transmission work. If the vehicle is four-wheel drive there is also a transfer case with its own oil, from AED 325.
MySyara repairs Chevrolet at workshops across Dubai, with Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman also covered. Book a diagnostic, we scan the car and quote for the fault, then carry out the repair with your approval. In Dubai, minor jobs can also be done at your home or office.

Diagnosis first. Quote before any repair. Work only with your say-so.

The rear AC complaint, and why it gets misdiagnosed

The most common Chevrolet repair request we get in Dubai comes from owners of the larger three-row models: cold air in the front, barely cool air in the third row.

This is worth understanding properly, because it is frequently mishandled. A Tahoe or Traverse does not have one air conditioning system. It has a front circuit and a rear circuit, often with a second evaporator and its own blower motor serving the back of the cabin. That rear circuit can fail entirely while the front continues working faultlessly.

Which means the standard response, topping up the refrigerant, achieves nothing. Gas is not the problem if the fault is a seized rear blower or a blocked rear expansion valve. You will pay AED 150, feel no improvement, and still have the original fault.

So we ask the question directly when you book: is it the whole cabin, or just the back? The answer changes what we check first, and an AC inspection is AED 99.

When the whole system is weak

If the entire cabin is struggling, the usual three suspects apply. A condenser packed with fine dust cannot shed heat. A refrigerant leak gives the same symptom for a different reason. A worn compressor struggling against high pressure gives it again.

A condenser is from AED 650 and a compressor from AED 1025, against AED 150 for a genuine top-up. Because those figures differ so much, we check pressures and find the leak before refilling anything.

Cooling: two engines, one problem

Chevrolet’s range creates an unusual situation where two completely different engine types arrive with the same complaint.

The Cruze and Malibu use small turbocharged engines. They are efficient and durable, but they run hot and place sustained demand on the cooling system.

The Tahoe, Traverse and Silverado have large engines moving heavy vehicles, which generates substantial heat under load.

Both end up at the same place: a rising temperature gauge in summer traffic. The cheap outcomes are a flush at AED 225 or a thermostat at AED 450. An engine run hot repeatedly is in another category entirely, so a climbing gauge is worth stopping for rather than nursing home.

Transmission fluid on the heavy models

On a Tahoe, Traverse or Silverado the transmission does real work, and fluid condition degrades with heat and load rather than with years.

A change is from AED 350, or AED 525 with a filter. That is inexpensive next to anything involving the gearbox internals, and on a high-mileage heavy vehicle it is the cheapest useful lever available. Four-wheel-drive models also have a transfer case with its own oil, from AED 325.

The Camaro prices differently

Worth stating plainly: the Camaro sits a tier above the rest of the range in our pricing because its parts cost more. We quote it individually rather than publishing a figure that would be wrong for either the Camaro or everything else.

Tell us the model and engine when you book and you get the real number upfront. The same applies to routine servicing, which is fixed at AED 525 for a sedan and AED 650 for an SUV.
