A technician reads the car's stored fault codes and inspects the relevant systems, then sends a quote for your specific Audi. The figure is for your car and your fault, not a generic labour rate.
Gearbox, AC, cooling, suspension, electrical: whatever the diagnosis points to is done only with your say-so. Nothing safety-related is touched without your approval.

Coverage
If your address is on the island, in Khalifa City, Mussafah, MBZ or out towards Al Shamkha, there is a workshop within reach. Drop the car in and collect it when the work is signed off.
Doorstep mechanic visits are not available in Abu Dhabi yet: they run in Dubai only. In Abu Dhabi the car comes to a workshop, which is where gearbox, AC and suspension work belongs anyway.

An Audi is at its best doing exactly what Abu Dhabi asks of it: long distances at speed, in comfort, on good roads. The engine handles that without complaint. The transmission and the all-wheel-drive hardware are where the wear accumulates.
The S tronic dual-clutch is the component to understand. It is reliable while its fluid is in good order, and that fluid degrades with heat. City traffic heats it in bursts; an hour on the E11 in July holds it at temperature continuously, which is the harder version of the same problem. Nothing fails abruptly. What arrives instead is a hesitation when pulling away from a standstill, or a slight shudder in slow traffic, and because the car still drives perfectly well most owners wait.
That waiting is the expensive part. A gearbox service from AED 750 at the shudder stage usually resolves it. A worn dual-clutch a year later is a rebuild. The gap between those two numbers is the widest in Audi ownership here.
If your Audi is a quattro there is a transfer case behind the gearbox, splitting drive between the axles, and it has oil of its own. A change is from AED 475.
It is the definition of an item that falls through the cracks: cheap, quick, invisible, and genuinely consequential on a car that has covered the kind of mileage Abu Dhabi produces in a couple of years. If your Q7 or Q5 has done real distance, ask about it.
Audi AC components are expensive. A condenser is AED 1075. A compressor is AED 1650. Meanwhile a condenser choked with the fine dust that gets everywhere here presents exactly like a system low on refrigerant, and so does a slow leak.
Three causes, one symptom, very different bills. That is why we check pressures and look for the leak before adding gas, and why an AED 99 inspection is the sensible first move rather than an upsell.
Sustained load in 45°C ambient is when a cooling system shows what it is actually capable of. Degraded coolant, a radiator that cannot shed heat properly, or a thermostat slow to open will all pass unnoticed in town.
If the temperature gauge climbs, stop rather than pressing on. A flush is AED 225; a radiator is AED 1850; an engine run hot repeatedly is worse than both. If what you need turns out to be routine servicing rather than a repair, that is fixed-price and cheaper still.
