The same as our Dubai workshops, with no Abu Dhabi premium, and Honda sits in our lowest price tier. A gearbox fluid service starts at AED 250, with a filter at AED 375. An AC condenser starts at AED 475 and a compressor at AED 750. A radiator flush is AED 225 and a thermostat AED 325. Shock absorbers start at AED 450 a pair. Those are sedan and compact rates; a CR-V, Pilot or Odyssey is usually AED 25 to 125 more. A diagnosis is AED 99.
That usually points at the CVT gearbox. The Civic, HR-V and Jazz use a continuously variable transmission whose fluid degrades with heat, and Abu Dhabi driving is specifically hard on it: long runs on the E11 and E10 hold the transmission at temperature for extended periods. Caught at the judder stage, a fluid service from AED 250 often resolves it. Left longer the wear becomes mechanical and the repair is a great deal more expensive.
Either the system is losing refrigerant through a leak, or the condenser cannot shed heat because its fins are packed with fine dust. Both feel the same from the driver's seat and they cost very different amounts to fix, which is why we inspect before refilling. A top-up into a leaking system is money spent twice, and a compressor that keeps working against a failing system eventually wears out. An AC inspection is AED 99.
Usually the battery, because in this climate expect roughly two years from one, sometimes less. A battery test takes minutes at the workshop. If the battery is healthy then the starter motor is the next suspect, and it is a known item on higher-mileage Accords. The diagnosis tells those apart before anyone buys a part.
Yes. The ones we see most are Accord, Civic, City, CR-V, Pilot, Jazz, HR-V, Amaze and Odyssey, and we also handle the Civic Type R, which prices a tier higher because of parts cost.
Not yet. Doorstep mechanic visits currently run in Dubai only, so in Abu Dhabi the car comes to a workshop. For AC, gearbox and suspension work that is the right place for it anyway, since the car needs lifting and proper inspection.
We work with vetted workshops across the emirate, reachable from Khalifa City, Mussafah, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Reem Island, Yas Island, Saadiyat, Al Raha and Al Shamkha. Tell us the area when you book and we route you to the nearest one with an open slot.

In Abu Dhabi, the CVT is the Honda part to watch

Honda repairs here come from a short list, and in Abu Dhabi the order of that list shifts. The CVT moves to the top, and the reason is the driving.

The Civic, HR-V and Jazz use a continuously variable transmission. It is a good gearbox that is genuinely sensitive to one thing: heat in its fluid. Stop-start city traffic heats it in bursts. Long motorway runs on the E11 and E10, or a trip out to Al Ain in July, hold it at temperature for an hour at a stretch, which is the harder version of the same problem.

The symptom is a shudder under light acceleration, or revs that climb while the car stays sluggish. At that point a fluid service from AED 250 usually fixes it outright. Twelve months further on, the belt and pulleys have worn and fluid alone will not help. The gap between those two outcomes is the single widest in Honda ownership here, and it is decided by whether anyone told you the judder mattered.

Air conditioning: the other summer certainty

The most common Honda complaint through an Abu Dhabi summer is air that is cool rather than properly cold. Two causes, identical symptom: a slow refrigerant leak, or a condenser whose fins are packed with the fine dust that gets everywhere here.

They cost very different amounts to put right, which is the whole argument for an AED 99 inspection before anyone adds gas. A condenser is AED 475 and a compressor AED 750, and a compressor forced to keep working against a failing system is how an owner ends up buying the expensive one unnecessarily.

Slow crank: check the cheap thing first

A Honda that cranks slowly is usually telling you about its battery. In this climate a battery that would manage five years in a temperate country often will not see a third UAE summer, so two years is a realistic expectation and a test takes minutes.

If the battery is healthy, the starter motor is next, and it is a known item on higher-mileage Accords. Both are straightforward jobs; the point of testing is to avoid replacing the wrong one.

What else the inspection finds

Cooling, where a radiator flush at AED 225 or a thermostat at AED 325 are the cheap interventions that keep a sound engine sound. Suspension, where bushes and dampers age faster on hot roads than the mileage suggests. And air filters, which load faster here than any manual assumes.

Anything found is quoted for your approval. If what you need turns out to be routine servicing rather than a repair, that is fixed-price and cheaper still.
