Diagnose and repair complex vehicle electrical and electronic systems as a senior workshop electrician.
As a Level 2 Auto Electrician, you'll handle the more complex electrical and electronic diagnostics in the workshop — wiring faults, ECU-related issues, AC electricals and accessory installations — and mentor Level 1 technicians on the floor.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical/electronic faults using diagnostic scan tools and wiring diagrams
- Handle wiring repairs, alternator/starter faults, AC electrical issues and accessory fitments
- Interpret OBD fault codes and carry out advanced electrical diagnostics
- Guide and review the work of Level 1 electricians/technicians on shared jobs
- Keep accurate job cards, parts usage and diagnostic notes
- Maintain workshop electrical tools and equipment in good working order
Requirements
- Level 2 auto-electrician license/certification
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in automotive electrical diagnosis and repair
- Confident using diagnostic scanners and reading wiring diagrams
- Ability to train and support junior technicians
- Multi-brand experience preferred
